There are over 100 different checks total in this lot.Major League Baseball Autographs Included: Milwaukee Brewers Staff: Thomas J. Ferguson- Brewers Vice President of Administration, Gabe Paul Jr. - Brewers Vice President of Operations, Anthony (Tony) Siegle- Brewers Farm Director, Richard Hoffmann- Brewers Front Office Accountant, Richard Hackett- Brewers Vice President of Marketing, and Allan "Bud" Selig- Brewers President at the time of signing.There are several different types of Brewers checks represented in this lot. Checks are drawn on several different Milwaukee banks. Yellow checks: First Bank Midland, Pink checks: M & I Marshall & Iisley Bank, Light Blue checks: M & I Marshall & Iisley Bank, Green checks: Wisconsin Marine Bank, all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. And Blue checks: Valley National Bank, Tempe Arizona (Spring Training), and Tan checks: Midland National Bank. All checks are the larger check size of 8.5" x 3.25". There are typically a few staple holes on left and, and a some have 1 or 3 folds in paper, most do not have folds. Checks are either endorsed by the payee, or MLB Player on back, Milwaukee Brewers Staff on front, or blank on back for business checks. The checks consist of; Payroll checks, Refund checks from ticket sales, Spring Training checks (Minor League), and Road Fund Account checks. I've sold a few of these at the 10–15-dollar levels individually. There are a few known MLB Players checks included, and many more signatures that will need to be investigated. A few checks are also signed by Thomas J. Ferguson, (Fergie) who started his baseball career as a ball boy with the Boston Braves. He was the Brewers Traveling Secretary, and later became the Brewers Vice President of Administration. Fergie’s baseball career has extended over half a century. In 1945, at age 15, he began shining shoes at the Red Sox clubhouse, and worked with the Boston Braves as a ball boy in the following year. He was called into the Army in 1952 and saw combat in the Korean War. Upon discharge from the military in 1954, he worked his way through the Milwaukee Braves organization, holding both visiting and home clubhouse manager positions. Fergie accepted an offer from Gene Autry’s Los Angeles Angels, where he held the distinction as the youngest traveling secretary in the majors at age 31 in 1961. He returned to Milwaukee in 1970 as the Brewer’s Vice President and remained there until 1983. The last 13 years of his career were spent scouting for the Phillies, where he enjoyed spending his time at college and high school ball fields “looking for treasures in the rough, not finished products”.
