Description: Welcome to our Store and Thank You for your Business. Joseph Andrew Slusarski (born December 19, 1966) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1991 to 2001 for the Oakland Athletics, Milwaukee Brewers, Houston Astros, and Atlanta Braves. He helped the Athletics win the 1992 American League Western Division, the Astros win the 1999 and 2001 National League Central Division, and the Braves win the 2001 NL Eastern Division. In 7 seasons he had a record of 13-21 in 118 games, with a 5.18 ERA. He was fired as pitching coach for the Frisco RoughRiders on May 20, 2009 and replaced by Jeff Andrews after the RoughRiders went 18-18 with a 4.56 ERA to begin the season. David Joseph Silvestri (born September 29, 1967 in St. Louis Missouri) is a former infielder in Major League Baseball from 1992 to 1999. He also played for the United States baseball team at the 1988 Summer Olympics. Playing career Silvestri attended the University of Missouri, where he played for the Missouri Tigers baseball team. He was drafted by the Houston Astros in the second round of the 1988 Major League Baseball draft. That year, he played internationally for the United States baseball team in the 1988 Baseball World Cup, where he batted .333/.407/.542 with 10 runs as the club's shortstop. He won a silver medal with the team. He also played in the 1988 Seoul Olympics, winning a gold medal. Before the 1990 season, Silvestri was traded with a player to be named later to the New York Yankees for Orlando Miller. During the 1995 season, he was traded to the Montreal Expos for a minor league player. Managing career Silvestri managed the Hudson Valley Renegades of the New York–Penn League in 2000 and the Great Falls Dodgers of the Pioneer League in 2001. Tyrone Vontrace Griffin (born September 5, 1967 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky) is an American retired professional baseball second baseman. He played in minor league baseball and in international competition for the United States national baseball team. Career Griffin attended C. Leon King High School and the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he played for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets baseball team in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). At Georgia Tech, Griffin was named an All-ACC second baseman and the Most Valuable Player of the 1988 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament. Griffin was part of the United States national baseball team competing in the 1987 Pan American Games and 1988 Summer Olympics. The Chicago Cubs drafted Griffin in the first round (9th overall) of the 1988 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his professional debut with the Peoria Chiefs of the Class-A Midwest League in 1989, and was promoted to the Charlotte Knights of the Class-AA Southern League that year. Baseball America rated Griffin the 22nd best prospect in baseball prior to the 1990 season. He split the 1990 and 1991 seasons between the Winston-Salem Spirits of the Class-A Advanced Carolina League and Charlotte. The Cubs traded Griffin to the Cincinnati Reds for Scott Bryant after the 1991 season. The Reds assigned Griffin to their Southern League affiliate, the Chattanooga Lookouts. The Reds released him after the season, and Griffin joined the independent Northern League, where he played for the Thunder Bay Whiskey Jacks in 1993 and the Sioux City Explorers in 1993. He signed with the St. Louis Cardinals and played for the Arkansas Travelers in the Class-AA Texas League in 1995. He returned to independent baseball in 1996 and 1997, playing for the Grand Forks Varmints of the Prairie League. Michael Thomas Fiore (born May 4, 1966) is an American amateur and professional baseball player. An outfielder, first baseman, third baseman, and designated hitter, he batted from the right side and threw with his right hand. Baseball career Amateur Fiore played college baseball for the University of Miami from 1985 to 1988. He was a key contributor to their victory in the 1985 College World Series, and was the school's lone representative on the All-Tournament team at the 1986 College World Series, where Miami was eliminated in the 14th game. The next year, he was the inaugural winner of the Dick Howser Trophy He was ultimately inducted into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame. He won a silver medal as a member of the United States national baseball team at the 1987 Pan American Games and remained a member of the national team in 1988, representing the United States at the 1988 Summer Olympics, where America won a gold medal (unofficial due to the competition's status as a demonstration sport), and the 1988 Baseball World Cup, where he won a silver medal and was recognized as the designated hitter on the tournament's All Star Team. Fiore was also one of nine finalists for the Golden Spikes Award that year, which was awarded to Robin Ventura of Oklahoma State University. Mike was inducted into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame in 2000. Professional The St. Louis Cardinals selected Fiore in the 15th round of the 1988 Major League Baseball Draft, but he never reached the major leagues. He played for the class A Springfield Cardinals in 1989, the advanced class A St. Petersburg Cardinals in 1990, and the class AA Arkansas Travelers in 1991. Post-playing career After his retirement as a player, he worked for USA Baseball, eventually advancing to the position of general manager. He later joined the staff of sports agent Scott Boras, who had been Fiore's representative during his playing career.
