Description: This is a special example of an 1860 County Map of California with nice inset maps of San Francisco Bay and Vicinity and Map of the settlements of the Great Salt Lake County Utah. The measurements of the frame is 17” x 20” and the approximate measurements of the map itself is 11” x 14”. It appears to be in very good condition in the frame. The frame itself has many tiny scratches and edge nicks (see pic). This was acquired from the Argosy Book Store, Inc. Old and Rare Books New York NY. They are leaders in old maps and rare books. This is an original engraving with hand coloring Published by S. Augustus Mitchell Jr. in the year 1860. The last picture is also a description of this map.
