1860 NJ Governor Charles Olden Appointment Certificate Burlington County NJ

Description: All of these historical documents and autographs that I am listing came out of a 19th century scrapbook that I purchased about 30 years ago. I am finally getting around to removing many of the items which includes numerous historical autographs, and paper ephemera. I have not authenticated any of these but some have information on them which will give you information on age. This auction is for a 1860 appointment certificate issued by the New Jersey Legislature for the appointment of Nathan Harper as Commissioner of Deeds in Burlington County, New Jersey. Signed by NJ Governor Charles Olden. Measures about 16” by 14”. The document is in fragile condition with paper along edges missing. When this was removed from the scrapbook in was in two pieces with the bottom piece completely separated from the top. There were tears along the fold lines and some pieces of missing paper. Archival reversible mending tissue and archival paper tape has been applied to the reverse side and some sections of the front. This will look great if matted and framed.
