Description: Gorgeous Antique Circa 1880s Sterling Silver Round Repousse Covered Box by Maltby Stevens & Curtiss Co. of Wallingford Ct. This round box is ornately decorated with a repousse of flower blossoms on the front with a plain cartouche in the center. The box is covered and stands 3 1/2" in total height with a tight fitting lid with a 2 3/4" opening.The interior is gold washed. The box is in excellent condition with no faults and has never been monogrammed. It is marked for Sterling on the bottom and for Maltby Stevens & Curtiss Co. A truly lovely antique silver box. The box weighs a substantial 157 grams. It is polished brightly and I see no faults.
