Description: Antique standard lock set with latch case. No key included but quite basic to function, easy to locate suitable. Salvaged from 1928 door ( date of house construction). The hardware is complete and functions. In need of stripping and polishing. Latch shows tiny ding on latch bevel (see image), guts within the case are complete with latch spring and knob pawl steel spring blade all sound (see image). All needs proper cleaning and oiling. This could be a Sargent brand handle, but not seeing mfg. mark. Knob was lightly de-grimed with Goof-Off and a toothbrush to do a basic cleaning,. will require more for a proper re-install. Automotive brake cleaner will usually do a safe job removing all lacquer ahead of polishing. All mounting screws included in the pill bottle. Knob was removed from door scrap which was discarded.
