Description: An attractive air mail cover sent onboard the "Pelikaan" for the return leg of it's special Christmas flight back to the Netherlands. The cover is franked with Netherlands Scott #120, the 15¢ Queen Wilhelmina stamp from 1929 and #C18, the triangle Airplane air mail stamp from 1933. The Queen Wilhelmina stamp is tied to the cover by a Soerabaja postmark dated December 25, 1933 and the air mail stamp is tied by the Pelikaan, Batavia-Centrum postmark dated December 27, 1933. On the reverse is an Amsterdam-Centr. Station postmark dated December 30, 1933. This cover measures 114mm x 81mm. See scans for condition.Shipping in the U.S. will be $2.25 for First Class Letter.
