Berg of the NBC Maintenance and Installation Department, ever tried to write music ... before he sent a copy of his new suite "Radio City" to New York for its premier on the International Weekend broadcast of Saturday, April 13, to be heard by KOMO listeners at 8:45 a.m. Meredith Wilson, General Musical Director of the Western Division, carefully checked his composition, note by note, with Ferguson and Berg. Much of the suite is in dot-dash-dot rhythm, spelling "Radion City" and other messages in Morse code. The last movement "The Towers" contains three such messages, and Ferguson and Berg, who were ship radio operators before they joined NBC, passed the dots and dashes as being easily followed by operators who hear the suite's performance. Wilson is heard directing his orchestra on Waltz Time program every Saturday night at 9:15 over NBC-KJR. Photo measures 10 x 8.25inches. Photo is dated 4-6-1935.
