Description: 1937 Mexico to USA Cover 10 cent posted Saltillo, Coahuila to Ft. Madison, IA I am going through some of my late grandfather's possessions, and he has some interesting postage stamps and envelopes. Grandpa lived in Ft. Madison, Iowa, where Sheaffer Pen Company was and still is headquartered. At the time, fine pens like theirs were often sold in jewelry stores, so Grandpa has envelopes from lots of jewelers, bookstores and stationers around the world that must have once held payments or orders. This posted envelope was slit at the top and right edge with a letter opener to remove contents. Envelope is from Banco Nacional de Mexico, Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico to W.A. Sheaffer Pen Company in Fort Madison, Iowa. 10 cent stamp is clear, but covered by the postmark. Normal handling wear. Postmarked in May of 1937. Domestic shipping is with tracked Ebay Standard Envelope. International shipping (untracked) is available for $2, Global First Class. I will ship as soon as I receive payment.
