Now that Shaw is dead, however, Hesketh Pearson has decided that the time has come to use this material, along with this final observations of Shaw during his last years. These observations by one who knew Shaw intimately are completely original and shed new and unexpected light on several facets of one of the greatest and most eccentric personalities of our times. DESCRIPTION: 137 pages 8 5/8 x 5 7/8 inches first edition hardcover with dustjacket CONDITION: This hard-cover book is in very good condition with a good dust jacket. The red cloth hardcover is very clean and shows only light wear at the corners and spine ends. The interior is excellent with no names, marks, underlining, tears or odor. The paper is slightly toned with age. The hinges and binding are excellent with no loose or missing pages. The dust jacket is complete with price intact on the front flap, but has some chips out of the top of the spine area and a large chunk of the lower spine area missing. It is rubbed and a bit worn at the edges and corners. There are several small chips and tears along the edges which have been stabilized on the back with acid-free archival tissue tape.
