A stamp on the inside of the bag reads, "Bag, Clothing, Waterproof, Stocking F.S.S.G. No. 27-B-122-125Spec. No. MIL-B-3108Barclay Home Products, Inc.Cont. No. NOm-57426-1 Sept. 50U.S.M.C.Inspector #_____"The "F.S.S.G" stands for "Force Service Support Group". This name was changed in 2005 to the "Marine Logistics Group" (MLG). This group is structured to train, rapidly task organize, deploy, employ, fight and redeploy in peacetime as well as in wartime. Barclay Home Products was listed on the May 11, 1951 Federal Register List of Department of Defense contractors. 2. Trouser Belt: The khaki trouser belt measures 56" long x 1-3/8" wide. A stamp on one side is not readable, due to the woven surface of the belt. 3. Sewing Kit: Possibly WW2-era. Measures 4"x3.5". Includes needles, thread (olive drab and khaki) and shaving mirror. 4. Copper Whistle: Solid, sturdy body with some expected tarnish. Marked "Military" on top. Some surface scuffs as expected. Condition: Very good condition. Solid, military grade items have stood up to the test of time. Sturdy stitching and waterproofing materials on clothing bag, sewing kit, copper whistle, and belt are in excellent condition. The exterior waterproofing material on the clothing bag is showing some drying over time (photographed).
