Description: This Replogle illuminated glass globe includes its original 200 page Atlas (copyright 1953) by Replogle - Chicago, IL. A ten inch diameter globe composed of paper over glass with a cast brass half-meridian. The base is brown metal and houses the Atlas conveniently. The globe and Atlas are in great vintage condition without major scratches, cracks or dents. A rare find and a collector’s dream. There are some interesting changes over the years; Vietnam was called Indochina. Pakistan was not yet a separate country from India.
