Fast Talking Satellite--The 500-pound Courier satellite, the U.S. Army Signal Corp's communications relay vehicle launched into space today at Cape Canaveral, Florida, underwent a final pre-launching checks at a Florida laboratory. The magnetic brain satellite contains 19,200 solar cells to provide power for the transmission and reception of 340,000 words and a five-minute pass over a tracking station.
