Description: Self made reproduction replacement pair of tunic collar liners (podvorotniki), made of roughly cut white cotton. Liners are pre cut to approximately 46 cm long and 6 cm wide, they are raw edged and will need to be folded and trimmed shorter where needed before sewing into tunic collars. (See pictures), fabric will have creases from folding. Dimensions are based on three original tunics I have examined with their collar liners still in place. Carried as spares in the sewing pouches (sold separately), and can be applied to tunics when needed. They should be sewn in so the external stitches are invisible, often very small, internal stitches could be a few inches long, (example photograph by kind permission of Tim DuPertuis, who was shown how to do it by a veteran.) Price is for two liners. These are raw edged and will need to be folded over on all four sides when sewn in place to get a neat look. SEWING POUCH IS NOT INCLUDED IN SALE. IT IS FOR DEMONSTRATION ONLY. Fold both ends in to match the length of your tunic collar, (not to cover button holes) trim the liner if necessary. Fold both edges over about 7 mm and sew into collar so the liner protrudes 2 mm above the tunic collar, use a thread that closely matches your tunic colour, use invisible stitches on the outside, and big ones on the inside.
