She is the 2003 Bob Jones Award recipient, the 2005 PGA of America First Lady of Golf and was inducted into the National Golf Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2008. She has played in 32 US Open Championships, won the 1973 U.S. Women’s Amateur and the 1974 Ladies British Open Amateur title. She is also one of only five people to have won three different USGA individual championship events, the others being JoAnne Carner, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods.
