Description: Vintage MARX railroad coal tender, Santa Fe 2731. If you hold it to the light, you can faintly see the "Santa Fe 2731", not sure if someone peeled it off or painted over it. What's unusual about this car is the metal railings. None of the others listed have this type, they all have a railing that goes around the platform edge, and they have no ladder grab bars, so don't know what the difference is.Good restorable condition, needs cleaning up, it has the coupler for connection to the engine.
