Description: This is an exquisite antique brass-banded mahogany slope with a beautiful Georgian style. The slope features a brass plaque from Mr Wilbraham of Rode Hall to A Heath. The wilbraham family have been at rode hall since the 17th century, an identical box I found was dated 1810. The key is included the inner compartment locks but the outer turns 360 degrees but doesn’t catch. The tooled leather is original and in very good condition . Overall the condition is fantastic the only fault is a small piece of brass inlay is missing. It is a perfect addition to any collection of antique woodenware and comes with a range of features that make it a unique and valuable item. The slope is made of high-quality wood and has a stunning mahogany finish. It is perfect for storing writing boxes and other small items, and its age adds to its historical significance. This antique slope is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts of vintage woodenware.
