Description: This auction is for a fabulous Vintage Lot of 3 Chansons de France Plates. We have owned these plates for many years, but we are selling them because we are paring down our collections. Each plate is sized for dessert or salad, and about 7.5" in diameter. This series of plates was produced in France in 1920-1930 by Herrmann Jean Georges Crétien and Faïencerie de Sarreguemines. The lovely designs were lithographed on the surfaces and the plates have the makers stamped on the backs. Each plate boasts a polychromatic illustration of the songs Il Pleut Bergere, Malbrough, and Cadet Rousselle around the rims along with a portion of the songs and words in the middle. The plates have a bit of wear from age and some tiny glaze imperfections from manufacturing. They have no chips or cracks and they are in great condition overall. Please see photos for details. Shipping and handling will be discounted if you win multiple auctions at the same time. Item will be wrapped for shipping very carefully to ensure that it arrives in good condition. No returns. Payment and shipping within the USA: Shipping and handling within the USA is $23. Payment and shipping outside the USA: Shipping and handling to countries outside the USA will be calculated by eBay based on your location.
