The clock is superb quality and is made by LENKIRCH who are renowned throughout the world for their fine quality craftsmanship in their movements and the beautifully detailed and highly decorated cases. If you are looking for an exquisite clock, this one will surly fit the bill.The door with lovely thick convex bevelled glass, which opens to access the dial. The dial is silvered and is beautifully etched with Arabic numerals. It is finished with a super pair of shaped fingers.The top is finished carved detailing and a nice deep moulding. The dial is flanked by reeded corinthian style columns and there is further carved detailing to the four corners of the dial and columns. The sides of the case have pretty panels formed by fine applied moldings. To rear is the door which is beautifully fretted and lines in fabric to access the movement which is held in place with a catch. The case is in lovely condition, and has a lovely rich patina. It is very difficult to convey through photographs the level of fantastic workmanship which has gone into this clock. But as you will note from the photographs there are fine carvings which set the clock of wonderfully.The clock is happily ticking away and keeping good time and the movement is nice and clean and has recently been cleaned and serviced. The clock strikes the hours on the hour and also strikes once at half past. It is stamped with the 'LENZKIRCH AGU' , it is also stamped '41', '1 Million' and '629418'. In addition this clock comes complete with it's pendulum and winding key. DIMENSIONS: The approximate MAXIMUM dimensions are: - 10.5 inches wide (across base). - 6.5 inches deep (across base). - 13.5 inches high AGE: The clock is circa 1900. CONDITION: The clock is in superb condition, as can be seen in the photographs, just minor marks commensurate with age and very careful use. The movement is lovely and clean and is happily ticking away and keeping good time as it has recently been cleaned and serviced serviced.
