Description: Presented is an antique, sterling silver salad serving set made by Towle during the late 1800s or very early 1900s. This set includes a serving fork and serving spoon done in the Old English pattern, which was patented in 1892. The handles and bases are beautifully chased with pretty roses and leaves. The large bowl of the spoon and tines of the fork have a deep gold wash. The back of both pieces are marked for Towle, sterling and patent 1892. This set is in great condition. The designs on the handles are crisp and the pieces have never been monogrammed. The gilding is also in excellent condition with only the most minor of wear to the back. Length: 9 1/4 inches. Weight: 156 grams or 5.5 ounces. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
