Description: This is for a fantastic antique primitive Stickney & Poor's Pimento wooden shipping box with great box corner joinery that would display wonderfully! Ephemera label on outside of box reads "STICKNEY & POOR'S PURE PIMENTO 6 lbs. 1/4 Packages". There is also black stenciling on two longest sides, although light & hard to read in some spots. One side reads "WARRANTED STRICTLY PURE BY STICKNEY & POOR SPICE CO BOSTON MASS." The other side reads "GOLD MEDAL ? STICKNEY & POOR SPICES MUSTARD CREAM TARTAR EXTRACTS & CO ABSOLUTELY PURE." At some time a clear varnish has been applied to entire outside of box. It measures approximately 9 1/4 inches length by 5 3/4 inches height by 7 1/4 inches wide. It is in very good antique condition with expected wear, scattered very light staining on inside. Tiny bit of paper loss towards bottom & one side edge of paper label.
