Antique Victorian Charcoal Portraits Man Young Woman Wedding Photo? 1897 20 x16

Description: 2 Antique Victorian Charcoal Portraits of a older gentleman and a young woman Wedding/ Engagement Photo? Late 19th Century Portrait measures approx. 20" x16" each. Framed 23 1/4" x 18" each. Frames are painted wood and anti-glare glass. There is a little red in the coloring of the outside of the frame. I don't know the age of the frames but look mid 1940's to mid 1950's. Someone has written the date 1897 so I'm assuming maybe its a wedding or maybe moving to a new place/house? She is quite a bit younger than he is (20 yrs). The handwriting on the bottom reads- Dad Born 6/10/ 1840 Passed (Died) Sept 1926 Mom Born 8/4/ 1860 Passed 9/13? 1954 I did cut the framing paper on "dad" and undid the backing (removed the hardware). I checked for water damage (none) as the framing paper had a water mark. There was no other writing on the back (see pic). I took the photo for this listing and then taped it up; it will have to be fixed (add nails or staples to fold over) so the backing is more secure. The portrait is in excellent condition, no rips but did have foxing around the edge. The other portrait, (mom), still has the framing paper in tact. There are places where it has been taped (so no hidden money), someone had checked before I bought them. I don't have any other information on this couple.
