Description: This is a beautiful tea gown fashioned of the most exquisite Broderie Anglaise lace, an entirely handmade eyelet lace. The dress is very fitted with lots of pin tucks, insertion lace designs, and the circular Broderie Anglaise lace adorning different parts of the dress. It is a stunning piece. The back closure is a hook and thread loop closure; Condition: There is a top back button but the loop is gone and needs to be replaced. The sleeves are entirely fashioned of mixed laces. There are a couple of pinholes in each sleeve, but they can easily be closed; Also some disconnects in the insertion lace that need a quick stitch. The skirt has 3 tiny pinholes that are small enough they are unseen. Also, the front neckline may have possibly been altered as I have seen over the years this type of dress with a high neckline and collar.... This neckline looks to maybe have been added perhaps in the Edwardian era. It is a lovely piece. Measurements Shoulder 14 Bust 32 Waist 22 Hip 32 Length from shoulder 54
