Description: I am offering for sale this Antique Vintage Stanley Bailey No 4 Type 16. Ca 1933-1941 Bench PlaneInv#LC63 This is a fine Stanley Bailey No 4 Type 16, 1933-41 USA smooth plane is in "as found" condition. The plane's original japanning is in very nice condition. The tote has a nick off the tip (SEE PHOTO) but is tight and secure, no cracks or repairs. It has typical minor wear to finish. The rosewood knob is very good, just some minor scars from use but no cracks or repairs. The cap has some nickel loss from use. The plane measures 9-1/2" L x 2-3/8" W. The cheeks & sole have some pitting, scratches & spotting. The Stanley notched logo measures: 7" x 2" W. Stanley is printed horizontally on the adjustment lever. It weighs 3lb 5oz. I always suggest sharpening cutter to get it back to an optimal cutting edge. “Photos are an integral part of this item's description.
