Description: Bausch & Lomb, Roving Eyes, 1930. Softcover, 32 pages, stapled, 9.25 x 6.125 inches. This catalog describes several lines of B&L optics, most prominently their center-focus prism binoculars, which resemble the Zeiss-inspired individual-focus binoculars made by B&L for military use in World War 1. These so-called “Stereo Binoculars” include the configurations 6x25, 6x30, 8x25, 8x30, 10x30, 10x45, 7x50, and 10x50. Each is illustrated and described full-page as in the example shown here. These were among the world’s most finely made binoculars of the time, and the 10x50 sold for $100, the equivalent of $1,825 today. Also included are the company’s tiny Sport Glasses, and one page devoted to telescopes. Illustrations include great posed, period depictions of shoppers and users. Condition is good to very good. There are no tears or stains, nor any rust on the staples. There is slight soiling to the cover, and a small hole in the lower outside corner of the front cover. There is a bump to the entire catalog at the lower inside corner, which shows in the scans. There are a few penciled scribbles on the front cover, and some penciled notes on the title page. I do not accept returns. I provide thorough descriptions and good photos. Please refer to my feedback for evidence of the accuracy of my eBay listings for 25 years.
