Description: Self made reproduction Red Army belt mounted cover for the alloy .75L canteen. Copied directly from an original in my own collection. This example has a variation as the belt loop and front fastening strap are cotton tape. Made from original green cotton twill and genuine button taken from a cut up pair of 1963 dated sharovari, cotton tape is from a post war gas mask bag, and the draw cord is taken from a cut up Soviet tent imported from Russia. Cover is approximately 20 cm x 16 cm. This example has some button rust marks on the fabric. THE CANTEEN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE, IT IS FOR DEMONSTRATION ONLY. Shipped 2nd class signed for.
