Twenty-nine volumes half bound in light brown leather with marbled papers, full marbled edges, gilt lettering and stamping to spine, with spine labels, engraved frontispieces, illustrated throughout with tissue guards still present. Foxing present on some pages. Some volumes with chipping to heads and edges, 7¾" - 5". Overall sound bindings, with the exception of Vol 29 which has a cracked binding. Less than a handful of loose pages throughout the 29 volumes. Previous owner bookplate present on all volumes. Overall, a very nice, complete Victorian set that would present well in any setting.
