Description: Child Of The MorningMargaret O'BrienEddie Dowling Vintage Promotional Herald / Flyer Up for auction is a vintage souvenir promotional advertising herald or flyer, measuring approximately 5.875 by 8.875 inches in size. Heralds are advertising flyers that are typically placed at theaters, and sometimes included in Playbills and Programs. This single sheet, double sided herald is for Clare Booth Luce's "Child Of The Morning", featuring Margaret O'Brien (in her first stage play, at age 15) and Eddie Dowling, and playing in pre-Broadway tryouts, at the Shubert Theatre, in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1951. However, the show never made it to Broadway. The souvenir herald is in great, vintage condition, with no rips, tears, writing or damage, and minimal soiling and wear. However, there is a very slight bend to the top right edge. At this time and over the next few months, I will be selling a number of vintage heralds, playbills, souvenir programs, as well as other movie and theatre memorabilia, and will combine shipping if at all possible.
