Description: I HAVE OWNED THIS LENS FOR OVER 40 YEARS. IT ORIGINAL, NEVER RESTORED, ORIGINAL GLASS in very good condition. NO RESERVE, PICTURES ARE OF THE LENS. IT COMES period lens CAP not SHOWN. The barrel is 3.5 inches in diameter and 5.5 inch long. The flange is 4 inches in diameter. I cleaned the glass and it is really very nice and original, no deep scratches, seperation or chips. There are three elements, two in the rear and one rather thick one in the front. There are no other markings on the lens except for the rear elements, one is lightly marked 4, the other 3.If you have any information on this lens maker please let me know. Because of the quality of the mount and the lenses I suspect this was hand made for wet plate or Daguerrian cameras. Possible during Civil War Era.There are no serial numbers. I tried to research this one but can’t find a thing. I would place it at the early 1859-69’s. If you would like to make an offer please do. ALL INFORMATION IS ON PICTURES!
