Description: DUDLEY MARKET TOKEN, 1/6 - JOHN BAKER, POTATO MERCHANT, Stone Street, Dudley Click images to enlarge Description A brass Market Token which probably dates from the late 19th century. On the obverse is the legend "JOHN BAKER, POTATO MERCHANT, STONE STREET, DUDLEY". The reverse side bears the value "1/6" (one shilling and sixpence). The edge is milled. Condition / Defects: In my opinion the token is in FINE Condition (more wear in the centre of the obverse, probably caused by the stamping of the value on the reverse) - but the grading of coins can be very subjective, so please supersize the photos and make your own assessment. Dimensions: diameter approx: 28mm. ***************** I am more than happy to answer any questions. Please use the eBay email messaging service which I review on a regular basis.
