Description: This listing is for a very nice EAPG Cake Stand produced by Ripley & Co in Pittsburgh circa 1885. It is known by collectors by a couple different pattern names: Baby Thumbprint, Thumbprint Band and Dakota. It has a lovely, engraved Fern and Berry design on the top surface. The glass is clean and clear with no discoloration and there are no nicks, chips or cracks. There are minimal light scratches on the top surface, as to be expected from a piece that is around 140 years old. Base wear is consistent with its age. It is approximately 7 inches tall and 10 1/2 inches across the top. It has a "skirt" of about 1/4 inch. Please ask any questions you may have prior to bidding.
