Description: This is a crude early original globular "Persian Saddle Flask" type bottle free blown in the 1800s with pontil scar. Much fatter than the normal "saddle flasks"....free blown glass bottle with crude drippy applied string of glass wrapping around the lower neck.....Free blown with no mold seams......rough pontil scar on sunken bottom ......crude lopsided ring collar....nice rich aqua or greenish color......9 1/4"tall x nearly 7"wide............Crude blown wavy glass with bubbles...Excellent condition with no chips or damage except for the applied glass string which is missing a piece. A nice clean bottle with only some light normal wear. Crude neck has a natural lean to one side.The bottle has a crude bottom with a slight wobble, but stands upright on its own very nice. A great looking early utility bottle that is termed "Persian Saddle Flask" by collectors. They were blown in the 1700s and 1800s... ...
