This scarf is old new stock and was never issued or used and would date from mid-1980s on. This scarf would be issued to East German Land Forces or Army troops on their last day of active duty before they would become reserve troops for the National Peoples Army. This scarf would be a great addition for militaria, Cold War, Warsaw Pact, historical reenactors, or Ostalgie collections.
