Description: This is an original early oil painting by well-known Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice at the Taliesin Fellowship, EUGENE MASSELINK (1910-1962). Before becoming Wright’s personal secretary and an esteemed designer, Masselink was an accomplished fine artist having traveled in Europe, exhibited, and even studied under Hans Hoffman. This is perhaps one of his earliest original paintings as the verso retains his old address (the one he shared with his parents, Benjamin and Gertrude) at 129 Lafayette in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
