Description: Just out of a local smoke free house is this antique Beaux Arts French Art Nouveau bronze lamp base. The base has an ornate flowing floral design and was most likely produced around 1900. The lamp stands about 25 inches to the top of the finial. The main bronze section measures about 14 5/8 inches high and about 5 1/2 inches at its widest. It is quite heavy and weighs about 15 pounds. The base is marked Beaux Arts in script on one side of the base. The wiring was updated some time ago and the electrics work well. The base shows signs of old attempts at cleaning or polishing and there is a dent on the brass riser tube that supports the sockets. The lamp base is bronze and is not a bronze finished base like other lamp bases listed. See photos as they are part of the description.
