We picked up a pretty large collection of slide from the 1960s to the early 1970s several years ago and just put them in one of the closets in the house. We got the collection form a lady who worked for and retired from the Red Cross. She moved to Korea before the Korean War and before it was split into North and South Korea. She later moved to Vietnam during the Korean War before moving back home to the states and retiring from the organization. There are some really cool slides in here of some from throughout North Africa, Asia and the United States. For sale is a cool 35mm slide of temple or shrine somewhere in Laos that is dated February 1971.There is a sign near the lower right corner of this photo/slide which has Laos on it and something written above in another language. Looking at the unknown word to us, it looks exactly like the Lao written language.It's a really cool shot and we trust someone with knowledge could identify the exact location of this shrine from either reading the sign or from the temple itself.The slide is in excellent, undamaged condition and ready to be turned into a photograph if desired.PLEASE NOTE: Our lighted table doesn't have a very strong light, so the slide isn't as bright as it is when lit by a stronger light, such as in a projector. However, the slide is quite a bit brighter than shown in the pictures. This slide will be shipped in a padded envelope via media mail with the USPS.
