Description: Listed now is a rare treat — an elegant Fenton potpouuri jar from the 1993 Connoisseur Collection. Mandarin Red was originally made in the 1930s. It’s a shiny opaque red with brown tones. This glass was especially heat sensitive; variations in the glass temperature produce a slag effect. Add a handpainted chrysanthemum decoration, and you have a real work of art!Fenton’s Connoisseur Collection was a series of items produced each year for that year only, and made for the purposes of showcasing the glassmaker’s art, rather than mass profit. This particular item dates from 1993, and is numbered 258 of an edition of only 1,250 total. Measures about 7 inches wide. Perfect condition, no chips, cracks or repairs! Looks like it could have come from the factory yesterday! The last picture is from Fenton’s 1993 catalog supplement, showing an item like this one. My inventory number is B86U. Fenton’s ware number is 6584 CD. _gsrx_vers_1653 (GS 9.7.5 (1653))
