About the designer: Nanna Ditzel was born in Copenhagen in 1923. She began training as a cabinetmaker and then went on to study at the School of Arts and Crafts and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. She trained in furniture design, completing her studies in 1946. She is considered one of the 20th century’s leading furniture and jewellery designers and worked alongside some of the greatest names in Scandinavian design.
