The piece is old and hefty, looks like bronze or high quality silver plated brass. The piece has superior detail. Bale is stamped “FRANCE” with a little square as well. There are multiple artist signatures, the initials “AP” in interlocking script, as well as what appears to be “Bouia”. Please see photos, the detail is hauntingly beautiful. A gorgeous old piece treasured for many decades, covered in handsome patina throughout. This piece is circa early 1900’s and of superior quality.
