The Scars upgrades include: 1. Added a pair of padded side handles for ease of stowing and carrying the ruck off your back 2. Added an additional row of molle to the front panel (for a total of 3 instead of the standard 2) for carabiners, pouches, etc.3. Added a pair of 2" molle strips to the bottom of the ruck for a small compression bag, umbrella, jacket, etc.4. Added two pairs of compression straps (upper and lower) to help steady full or partial loads and ensure bag fits in the luggage sizer while traveling5. Removed the front panel 2"x3" patch panel (SCARS did a great job here, it's almost impossible to tell there was anything there) The ruck is in great shape with only minor signs of use.
