However, what makes this particular Pass extra-special & commemorative in a very " 1980's " Grateful Dead way ... is that right ' On ' This-Day - July 6th, 1987 ( 7/6/1987 ) ... the Band's Massive ! - and even ' Popular ' !!?!! Album " In The Dark ! " was released !!! And, we all know what ' This ' release did for the Good Ol' Grateful Dead - well, you know ... That + MTV ! actually equaled a " Top 10 Hit ! " on the Pop Charts !!! Whoa !?! And ... as we all well-know too - here comes a Whole ! New-Wave !! of Grateful Dead Fans !!! Or, as one of my ' Deadhead Counterparts ' Back East used so-eloquently call back then - just right around this time ... all those " Touch Of Greyers !!! " Hey, well - I mean it's All-Good by me ... because if it has to do with '80's Grateful Dead in Any ! form ... I am All-About it ! Yeah !! Yes, so ... the Album gets released the morning of 7/6/87 - and right on that night ... the Band are in Charge of Rockin'-Out the Keystone State ! ... right in Pittsburgh ! - at the " The Igloo !! ". A pretty-darn nice place for a G.D. Celebration ! when you really think about it ... as PA has Always ! had a serious Strong-hold of Die-Hard Grateful Dead Fans ! In fact, I used to even live pretty close to there - right at this time, and this I can say ... I saw a Number ! of Massive !!! G.D. Analog-Cassette Collections right-inside the Grate ! State of Pennsylvania !!! I crossed into the PA border lots ! ... to do some serious tape-trades - and many & most of those tapes I still ! listen to frequently here today ! Yes indeed - here close to 40-Years !?! later ! I mean ... Thank Goodness ! all those TDKs, Maxells, and Naks ! were all just built like Tanks ! Well hey, & Hey Now ! PA Deadheads ... " Thanks !!! " for the Tapes !! Seriously ... Thank You ! for a ' Real Good Time ' !!! You know, I mean back then - it often sometimes made best-sense for both tape-trading parties to just drive the distance ... and start spinning the Naks ! like Madmen !! Actually, I think it might have even still been an Onkyo ! for me - way-back then ... but, nonetheless - Classic ! times indeed !! Yeah, so on this Most ' Important ' Night ... the Band Smoked !! it - and really, took No-Prisoners ! I guess there weren't too-many ' Touch Of Greyers ! ' ( aka. ' In the Darkers !! ' ) in there on this night - and if so ... they are Super-Fast !!! You know ... like ' Same-Day ' Fast !!! Hah ! Well, the Band came out right-away and Cooked ! a Stranger > Franklin's !!! ... and from there - it was just ' On ! '. Brent delivered ' Far From Me ' - which, I dig ! Garcia put the hammer-down on ' Stagger Lee ' ! And Ace, well ... it was time for a Heartfelt ! ' Desolation Row ' !! And, that was just Set I !!! Now ... just check-out This ! for a " Set II " - as the Neville Brothers were in the House - and were soon on stage with the Band !!
