Camp Howze was a temporary United States Army training camp which was constructed in the early 1940's during World War 2, specifically to train soldiers during WWII. Camp Howze was built in Gainesville, Texas, and deconstructed in 1947 at the close of the war.It was the size of a small city, with 11 churches and multiple stores.
