After you have mastered these basic chords it is recommended that you secure an advanced chord book. It will provide you with many variations of these same chords that can be played in other positions on the guitar fingerboard. Remember to always place your fingers as close to the fret as possible and press firmly to get a true tone from each string. Improper positioning will cause a buzzing tone or no sound at all. You will note that this book has some additional features that will enhance your playing. Included is a complete fingerboard chart, a quick reference page that contains all the chords in the book in a two page layout, and several pages of basic guitar instruction for those who use this book as their only guide. A transposing chart is also included to make playing in your favorite key easier. You may notice that some chords are the same but have different chord names.
