Description: Turner-Reich Anastigmat 6.8 Series II no. 4: This lens is really fascinating. It has 10 elements in 2 groups. Used normally it has a 10.5" focal length. If you remove the front element it has an 18" focal length. If you remove both elements and put the front element on the back of the shutter, it has a 24" focal length. The 3 different aperture scales are on the Optimo shutter, which works great. It can be triggered with a normal cable release, with the button, or I think with an old style air bulb. It was marketed for 6.5x8.5" plates, meaning it covers 5x7" with plenty of room for movements. I'm guessing that the 18" and 24" conversions cover 8x10. There are four small spots of separation in the balsam, three on the front element and one on the rear element, and a little dust. But it should still render images well. There are also bubbles in the glass but that was considered a very good thing back in the day - meant it was top quality glass. There is a very slight dent in the front rim. 15 bladed diaphragm. The lens needs a 58mm hole in the lens board. It does have a retaining ring so all you need is a lens board. I do have the one it was on for sale in another listing, it is for a Speed Graphic camera.
