There are several variations of tank designs that the brass manufacturers captured (single long square tank on each side, two smaller square tanks on each side, single half saddle tanks on each side, and this full saddle tank design, which completely covers the boiler from one side to the other), where this is our favorite. This model represents a few different railroads due to it moving around, and was once Weyerhaueser's #108! This locomotive is one of the few that survived over the years, and finally ended up on the Black Hills Central Railroad who completely restored it to operating condition as of 2022. See the pictures of the original Weyerhaeuser #108, and the newly restored look at BHCR. This model is highly detailed, and in absolutely beautiful condition. It includes all its brakes (these can snap off over time), and the factory box only shows minor shelf wear, with the label looking almost new still.
