Description: ICA Contessa Ideal 111 6.8x9cm camera with Carl Zeiss Jena 12cm f 4.5 Tessar lens in a Compur shutter and a Rolex roll film back for 120 film. Patent dates of 1914. ICA was a subsidiary of the huge Zeiss corporation. The shutter fires at all speeds but I cant get it to go into B or T. The speeds seem fairly accurate. The aperture control works smoothly. The lens has haze. The optical waist-level viewfinder is amazingly bright. Easily the best finder of any of the antique folders I have ever seen. Like it was made yesterday. The focusing rack works smoothly. This model has an extra extended rack feature for close focusing. The bellows looks ok but we make no guarantees. The camera is missing the ground glass and spring back for holding film or plate holders. The roll film back looks to be in good shape The previous owner was shooting this camera with the back held on w gaffer's tape. There is even a half exposed roll of film in it.
