This is the holy grail of Iron Maiden collectibles. It's the greatest artwork Riggs has done, and it is the most iconic Iron Maiden album. The first appearance of Bruce Dickinson! If there was a sealed LP suitable for grading, across all genres, it is The Number of the Beast. The grade this sealed album received was a 9.0 (NM). The sub-grades are 9.0 for Cover, 8.5 for Spine, and 8.5 for seal. If you think you can just send a sealed copy in and get a 9.0, some brand new records don't receive a 9.0, much less a 42 year old record. This was specifically curated, and is definitely one of a kind. Looking over the package, I spot a little stain on the VGM label at the upper right corner. It's as if during the process of encapsulation some glue migrated over to the paper. I only include this note because I know a potential buyer would be disappointed if any flaw was hidden on this gem. I will ignore and report any vinyl snobs arguing with me about the morality of the encapsulation of records. If you wanted to listen to this record there are many open versions of this available. This is a work of art, frozen in time. I will ship by USPS for $10, fully insured. I will entertain reasonable offers, but I would be proud to remain the only owner of this on the planet.
