Description: This is a rare January 30th, 1946 playbill from the Cleveland Play House production of the PAUL OSBORN play "A BELL FOR ADANO" at the Francis E. Drury Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio. (The Original Broadway production opened December 6th, 1944 at the Cort Theatre in New York City and ran for 296 performances.) ..... The ensemble cast included twenty-one year-old JACK WESTON, who was born in Cleveland in 1924 and had just returned from serving two years in the army in Italy. He would make his Broadway debut in 1950 in the Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II classic "South Pacific".
