Description: We brought this Oribe tea ceremony hibachi from Kyoto. The last photo shows how it would look with a tea ceremony, iron pot inside. For the tea ceremony there would be a charcoal fire in he Oribe base to heat the water in the iron potThe last photo is only an illustration of how it looks complete. This Iron pot is NOT included but is listed in our other ebay listing. There is a small chip out of one corner shown in the second photo. It' 10 7/8 inches wide 5 5/8 inches tall and weighs 7 1/4 pounds. It's possible it was brought to Japan from another country. It's a bit more elaborate than the usual Japanese temple candle stick and it also has "The eyes of Buddha" on its base (3rd photo for close up)We think is more of a Nepalese / Tibetan tradition. If anyone knows more about this we would appreciate letting us know. It's 19 inches tall to its tip and weighs 2 pounds We have been selling Japanese antiques for 26 years and are shipping from Los AngelesWe have other antique/vintage Japanese items on ebay.
