Description: Kodak Retina III C rangefinder camera - as is for parts or repair - see below.The camera in the pictures is the actual item being offered.Pictures are part of the description.Overall the camera looks to be in very good condition with the exterior needing a quick cleaning.There are some light wear marks on it due to prior usage and handling.A small piece of leather on the front is starting to peel back so that will need to be glued back into place.The light meter appears to not function as well.The main issue I noticed when testing the camera is that the shutter will not open when the shutter release button is depressed.The film advance mechanism works, as well as the rangefinder focusing.I tried to get the shutter to open on all settings tested but it will not open the aperture blades.I advance the film (film counter works properly).I depress the shutter release and the mechanism works and I can here the release however the aperture blades will not open.Once released I am able to again wind the film advance lever to cock the shutter with no issues.Based on the above the camera is being offered on an "as is" basis with no warranties or returns.It can be used as a decorative display piece, or perhaps worked on by someone who knows how to repair this type of camera (or can be used for parts).It will be wrapped in some bubble wrap and will be boxed with some extra packing paper to further protect it while in transit.It will be mailed via USPS Ground Advantage or some other form of shipping method depending on what supplies I have available at the time of packing.A tracking number will be provided as well.Thanks.
